Dr. John Castiello

We are proud to announce that Dr. John Castiello OD has joined West Coast Eye Care Associates.

Dr Castiello has practiced over 20 years in the San Diego area (National City, Fashion Valley, and Point Loma).

He graduated Temple University in Philadelphia with a B.S. in Education.

He then taught 8th grade science for one year only, before deciding to enter Optometry school and graduated Pennsylvania School of Optometry four years later.

He currently resides in Tierrasanta with his wife. He also published an article in Optometric Weekly: “The Use of a Contact Lens in a Physically Handicapped Low Vision Patient”.

He has continued to take numerous continuing education courses and has obtained a Theraputic Optometric Certification for treating many eye conditions and is currently taking more courses and plans to be fully “Glaucoma Certified” in November 2011.

He is as accurate as possible with his eyeglass prescriptions and contact lens fittings. He also often custom designs glasses to meet a patient’s special needs, especially “computer glasses”.

Dr Castiello is very grateful to his many longtime and loyal patients, and especially for their kind referrals to their friends and families.
