Nothing to fear! Dr. Katzman and his staff are kind and gentle. I would rather have LASIK than go to the dentist. I got a little scared and everyone working on me at the eye bank stopped, made me feel better, made me laugh and then continued the procedure. My eyesight is great. I was 20/20 the day after the LASIK. Since I am 52 years old I must wear reading glasses but that is normal. My distant sight is so clear. What a great invention.

First of all the staff and Dr. Katzman are very supporting, kind, and wonderful. I felt very relaxed, not a worry in the world. The whole procedure from beginning to end went very good and quick. Before you know it the procedure is over. Dr. Katzman talks you through the whole procedure. Dr. Katzman lets you know what he is doing and how much time is left of the surgery. The surgery was only 30 minutes, with no pain. I could not believe how easy every thing was, and how painless my recovery time was also. I was starting to have headaches and thought I needed new glasses. My eye exam showed that no correction was needed. The Doctor told me to use my thumbs and push up on my eyebrows. When I did this, “what a difference it made.” I had no idea that I was loosing that much field of vision. The surgery went very well and the recovery time was short. The nursing staff was knowledgeable and kind and Dr. Katzman guided me through the procedure by telling me exactly what to do and by explaining to me what he was going to do next. The procedure was over in what felt like seconds. I am so pleased with my results I could read without my glasses before I left the office. Three weeks later, my vision keeps improving.
